Are Your Kids Artists In The Making? How To Turn Your Fridge And Other Areas Into Mini Art Studios

When you have kids, you want to help them explore the artistic side of life. One way to do that is to provide them plenty of opportunities to get creative, especially with paints, crayons, pastels, and chalk. Once your kids have creating their artistic masterpieces, you'll want to ensure that they have the space to put them on display.

Grab the Decorative Fridge Magnets

If you're like most people, you probably have your fair share of kids art pieces being displayed on your refrigerator. While the refrigerator does tend to be one of the most popular places to display artwork, you can spice up the space by grabbing decorative fridge magnets. Let your children choose their own funny fridge magnets to display their artwork with. Not only will they be providing the artwork, they'll also be showing off their creative side by choosing the magnets they'll be using. You can change the artwork as often as you'd like.

Load Up on Twine and Clothes Pins

If you want to turn your walls into art studios for your kids, it's time to load up on twine, pushpins, and clothes pins. Using a pair of scissors, cut varying lengths of twine. Secure the twine to your walls using your pushpins. You can secure them in straight lines, in curves, or other varying designs. Once the twine is securely in place on your walls, use the clothes pins to attach your kids artwork. Like with the fridge magnets, you can use the clothes pins to change your kids art displays as often as you'd like.

Invest in Inexpensive Picture Frames

If you want to make your kids artwork a more permanent part of your décor, head to a local discount store, or yard sale, and invest in inexpensive picture frames. You can use the frames to display your kids artwork throughout the house. If you'd like, you can add some matting to give the artwork a more professional look.

Turn Your Cabinets Into Chalkboards

If your kids enjoy creating chalk art, turn your kitchen cabinets into chalkboards. All you need to do is paint your cabinets with chalkboard paint, and provide an ample supply of chalk. Your kids will be able to create beautiful artwork all around the kitchen. When they are done, you can take a picture of their masterpiece. That way, they can erase their work and start all over again.
